Nutrition Month
It's Friday guys and boy, I am just so worn out..I just wanna sleep for whole day but I still need to go to work tomorrow, My God!
But anyways, before anything else since today's the last day of the month, and we all know July is nutrition month, most of the schools are culminating that today. I am posting a photo of Mitmit's nutrition program last year, yes, I know, I should post this year's, but unfortunately, I wasn't able to take a photo because it was so crowded and noisy and everything is in chaos. I couldn't find a decent space to take a shot.
I have a story by the way, the other night I was so furious because I learned that Mitmit took the de-worming in her school, God, I wanted so much to slap somebody. You can't blame me, hello? Have you been reading the news? Thousands of students were rushed to the hospital after taking that said medicine. How will a mother like me feel, right? I was so paranoid, I kept on asking her if she felt something on her tummy, thank God, nothing terrible happened. I was so relieved when she slept soundly, I was watching and observing her literally until she fell asleep. I was super duper worried because, as what I've known, de-worming is only done once every 6 months, and as far as I can recall, it has only been 4 months since we last did it. I did not understand why they have to do it on their school, and parents like me who is not all the time in school were not informed. I am so used with the usual that a BHW will go to our home and give us that medicine, and why now? For whatever reason, I don't approve of that. Period!
I am trying so hard to make her eat whatever is healthy and good for her growing body, because she tends to eat egg only, like, she can eat egg for every meal. I know I just have to be creative and patient. I admit, there are times or most of the time I am overpowered by laziness, and opt to prepare for dishes that are quick to prepare and available at hand. I should change that, i know! But one thing that I am proud of myself is that I have instilled in her that she should eat whatever is on the table and don't ask for anything which is not there. It's a long process, it ends up in crying, walking out of the table and all of that behaviours, but slowly she's learning. And if I want her to be healthy, I should cook vegetable dishes more often so that she'll get used to it eventually.
Fingers crossed to that!
How about you mommies, are your kids a picky eater?
Share!
Thanks,
Mamay
