Unplanned trips are the Best!

Last July 1, since it was a holiday in Tagbilaran City in commemoration of its Charter Day, we have no work or shall I say I have no work- Papay decided to take the day off as well. Out of the blue, he jokingly said that we'll go to Strawberry farm in Mayana, Jagna and I took his words - so off we go!

That trip was long-overdue anyway, we have been talking of going but it never pushed through. It is true that it's better not to plan things and just go with the flow, no disappointments.

It was a long drive, we had several stop overs because reality, our body can't keep up with our minds. My legs and back were aching but because I did not want to be called "KJ" as what they often call me.. so I braved all that.

We stopped first in Lila for a photo op because Papay wanted to show to his friend whose from Lila but now in abroad, you know, to make him feel more home-sick. Haha!

Our second stop-over was in Garcia Hernandez, this time it was a long stop. Papay ate his snacks and we took many photos here and stretched a lot. The long ride was starting to get into this old body of mine.

We first had our lunch at the town proper of Jagna since it's gonna be a long uphill ride going to Mayana. We braced ourselves for a long, cold ride since it was starting to drizzle. The rain was abnormal that day, it would rain really hard then all of a sudden it will stop. We had a few stop overs to cover ourselves up but we finally decided to move even though it was raining - because it was getting dark soon and it's gonna be scary to travel at night there, at unknown place.
Finally, after an hour or so of travelling- trusting our guts to take the road ahead of us, we finally arrived at Barangay Mayana and a few minutes more, we arrived at the esteemed strawberry farm.
We paid P25 each at the entrance and registered our names. Then the mesmerizing view wowed us.

After more than an hour maybe at the strawberry farm, we went down hill na. We traversed Jagna-Sierra Bullones road going to Carmen. I did not expect the ride to be smooth but thankfully the roads there were all concreted already. We stopped in Carmen to buy fruits since there were plenty of fruits displayed on the road side. It was pineapple season, so we bought one. We also bought papaya and watermelon. It's very nice to buy from there since it was really cheap but we cannot bring too many considering we are on our motor bike only.
We decided to take Loboc-Sikatuna road and we paid a surprise visit to the Opaws in Dagohoy, Bilar. Prior to that, we stopped at Batuan for a snack and we also bought pizza for pasalubong.

It was just a quick hi-hello because we missed these Opaws already. Then we headed home na after.

It was a tiring day but it was all worth it. I saw how happy our daughter was and I said to myself that as long as our health will allow we will travel more.

Thank you Lord for keeping us safe all throughout our trip. To God be the glory. Amen.
