We Have a Pre-teener!

Image
How come she's this big already? I can already count the years until she wont enjoy our company anymore. When she would let us cuddle her and sleep beside us. Hay! Time really do fly by. She's growing up way too fast right before our very eyes. There are moments when I am feeling all sentimental as I look at her. Memories of me holding her in my arms to put her to sleep keep flashing in.  It's true no, in the eyes of a mother their child will always be babies no matter how big they become. A mother will always be sentimental whenever they think of their children growing up. That is so true to this mama as well. I know that a few years from now, my daughter will no longer enjoy our company that is why as much as we can now, we tag her along wherever we go and whenever possible. I know that few years from  now she'll ask for her privacy and would want her own space that is why although she has her own room now, we still allow her to sleep with us whenever she wants to (...

Unplanned trips are the Best!

Image
Last July 1, since it was a holiday in Tagbilaran City in commemoration of its Charter Day, we have no work or shall I say I have no work- Papay decided to take the day off as well. Out of the blue, he jokingly said that we'll go to Strawberry farm in Mayana, Jagna and I took his words - so off we go! That trip was long-overdue anyway, we have been talking of going but it never pushed through. It is true that it's better not to plan things and just go with the flow, no disappointments.  It was a long drive, we had several stop overs because reality, our body can't keep up with our minds. My legs and back were aching but because I did not want to be called "KJ" as what they often call me.. so I braved all that. We stopped first in Lila for a photo op because Papay wanted to show to his friend whose from Lila but now in abroad, you know, to make him feel more home-sick. Haha! Our second stop-over was in Garcia Hernandez, this time it was a long stop. Papay ate his ...

Birthday 2021

Image
It was my 2nd birthday that I celebrated in the midst of the pandemic.  Initially, we planned to spend the night before my birthday at a resort-just the 3 of us. Everything was ready. accommodation was booked, food was cooked ahead, schedules were fixed - and then suddenly, a storm came. If it was only rain and some thunderstorm, we will still push through with the plan but there were strong winds accompanying the rain, some areas in Bohol were already flooding. So, with a heavy heart, we cancelled our reservation and just spent the night at home. It was the right thing to do for our safety of course. The following morning, my birthday.. the rain stopped, no more howling winds and all, though the sky was gloomy it was bearable since it was no longer raining. We decided to go to Panglao since we took the day off anyway, what better way to make up for the disappointments we felt than to go to the beach instead. We strolled along the beach of Alona, swimming was prohibited still...

First half of 2021 is Over

We're halfway 2021, can you imagine that? Where has time gone by? It's almost 2022 and we are still facing the problem brought about by COVID-19. Who would have thought that this pandemic would last this long. Other countries are getting back to normal but for the Philippines, it's way too far from being normal. Being the resilient people that Filipinos are, people are getting used to this pandemic and accepted the reality that this is part of our lives now and we are now surviving to what we call now as the new normal. Establishments re-opened their operation, workers go back to their works because reality is we cannot afford not to work. We need to brave this pandemic in order to put food on the table and feed our families since the government is busy arguing on non-sense things rather than looking for solutions to alleviate the difficulties that the ordinary people are experiencing.  Anyway, I would not be political here and never will I ever be. Despite still facing th...
